"DISTINGUISHED AND EXEMPLARY SERVICE IN HIV/AIDS MINISTRIES" BY AIDS
NATIONAL INTERFAITH NETWORK.
On Monday, September 17, 1990, the AIDS Interfaith Network, Inc. of
North Texas (with offices in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Denton) was
recognized as a model ministry to persons living with HIV/AIDS by the AIDS
National Interfaith Network at its 2nd Annual Conference held in Chicago,
Illinois. AIDS Interfaith Network, Inc. of North Texas (AIN) was the only
Texas based HIV/AIDS ministry program to be presented an award for
"distinguished and exemplary service in HIV/AIDS Ministries" by the
National organization.
"It is gratifying to receive such recognition for our work with
persons infected with and impacted by HIV/AIDS." said Rev. Charles
Carnahan, Executive Director of AIN, "It is a recognition which we accept
and share with our staffs, volunteers, and supporters in Dallas, Fort
Worth, and Denton who have spent hours and energy making (AIN) a model to
be immulated"
