BOMB HOAX 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1
A pre-dawn phone call to a Dallas telephone
operator sends Fort Worth and Dallas officers
to Carter Field to begin searching for a bomb
aboard an airliner. The scare began shortly
before 3:30 this morning when the telephone
operator heard a voice say, "I just put a bomb
on an airplane at Love Field." American
Airlines Flight 655 was 21-minutes out of Dallas
en route to Los Angeles when the hoax call was
received. The plane's captain headed the ship
back, landed at Carter Field where 80
passengers left the plane/and all baggage
placed on the plane at Dallas was searched.
