It may look like Mansfield is expecting one hook of a
rain, but it s the Mansfield Newom*Mirrorts first annual

pet parade, and dozens of youngsters and animals move
down main streets on the way to city hall and the judging.
The contest is open to youngsters from one to 14# and
silver dollars are waiting in a vareity of categories,
including the smallest, oldest, and ugliest pet. And
to make everyone happy, all entries receive free passes
to a Mansfield movie theatre.
13 year old Ronnie McDonald has brought along his pet
skunks Flower. Therets no award for the smelliest pet,
but it doe sn t matter, Flower, says Ronnie, has been
deoodorized.Si, his aroma is as pleasing as a hot plate of enchiladas.
Nine year old Geary Don Anderson is going after the W
silver dollars with a racoons named Gester,It all adds up to a tough Job for judge Eddie Griffine
