CROWD AFTER BALLOONS
The political campaigns are over, but in Dallas, thereto
still a demand for hot airs or cold air, for that matter.
On the eve of the Giant Balloon Parade, which officially
opens the holiday season in Dallas, about 50 of the big
wind bags need inflating. The mechanized huffing and
puffing is taking place behind the Scottish Rite Temple
in downtown Dallas.

The thirds[ parade features everything from ovem
sized cats to Knights of Old, including a kingascized
version of Sir Galahad. The men behind the air hoses
work for Giant Balloons Incorporated: a big name in
parade balloons. In addition to M the balloons, the
parade will boast seven high school !bands and drill
teams, about three hundred boy scouts, Miss Downtown
Dallas, a couple of TV personalities, and a rotund
gentleman in a red suite whose favorite line is
N10 No Ho.
