Band is gonna get out of hand. Bill Conklin of Highland
Park in Dallas began his 'ourth of July Parade for kids
13 years ago. He had only six paraders then. Today he
had 150 of them, all parading down Normandy Street.
The parade is more sophisticated now, what with a fire
engine and 5O e and. Last year there were only
45 to hop and skip their way in the parade.
Two wise guys An the side lines mention something about
ice cream and root beer. This is enough to create panic
in the rear echelon where the troops are badly in need of
refreshment.
