Texas Christian University's long-awaited
basketball coliseum becomes a reality tonight when
the Horned Frog basketball team plays its first
in Fort Worth at
knm2 game of the season V the gleaming Daniel-Meyer coliseum.
On hand for the opening festivities
is the man for whom the coliseum is named,veteran
TCU Athletic Director Dutch Meyer. There is a
minimum of ceremony for the opening of the
seven thousand seat coliseum, and the crowd is
considerably below capacity.
LONG OF ACTION
The Horned Frog foe in the game,Centenary
of Shreveport, proved to be no easy touch for thewinless TCU quintet.
The Gents beat Rice last
week and dropped a two-point decision to Texas A&M,
one of the Southwest Conference favorites. But the
Frogs jump into an early lead on field goals byJohnny Fowler Bobby McKinley.
