EUROPENN TOUR
17-year-old David Welsh of Dallas who speaks French
with the ease of a Frenchman, will get a chance to
try out his vocabulary in a week or so. The Woodrow
Wilson high senior is going to tour Europe under
the auspices of the American Red Cross. The son of
the Reverend W. A. Welsh, pastor of the East Dallas
Christian church, is one of sixteen junior Red Cross
workers from the U.S. chosen to make the tour.

David is bid farewell by his
grandmothers, Mrs. J. W. Neal
of McKinney, and Mrs. W. A. Welsh of Fort Worth, who/1
some grandmotherly advice for him.
A cousin, Miss Sherry Skelly of Washington, D. C.
is going along as far as the nation's capital where
David is scheduled to see the president before leaving

director of the Red Cross youth program, says David
was selected for the tour because of his leadership
ability in Red Cross work and his familiarity with
