middle of a highway which someday will link Mexico
and Canada. After a few speeches, everyone will
get out of the way and the last link of Stemmons
Expressway - a three-point-eight mile stretch
through Farmers Branch -- will be opened to traffic.1t

COLOR GUARD NAdCHES '
An honor guard from the Dallas Naval Air Station
marches up the freeway which is part of Interstate
35-E. The stretch being opened cost more than
one and one-quarter million dollars a mile and took
three years to build.
