Commodore O.C. S. Robertson, a renowned ar explorer,
believes some of the money being spent on space ex..
ploration should be used instead for oceanic research.
He's not advocating that space programs be canceled, but
he says oceanic projects would' bigger and quicker
returns. Commodore Robertson, talking with WBAP news-
man Alex Burton, is director of scientific projects for
Expo 67, Canada's world fair. The fair's float won an
award in the Cotton Bowl parade and Robertson came to
Dallas to accept it. The commodore has often worked
with the U.S. Navy in ar ic operations and served as
aboard
adviser the U.S. nuclear submarine "Seadragon"
during that ship's historic voyage through the North
West Passage s and under the North Pole in 1960.
Commodore Robertson says he does not agree with those
who claim M oceans alone can feed the world.
