OLD WAR BOMB
FOUND BY MAN
While John G. Burgio
cleaned up the basement of his
newly acquired home in
Buffalo, he found an
unexpected surprise — a bomb
left from the First World War.
*‘1 was poking around in an
old box in the cellar,” he said,
“when all of a sudden I saw its
fins. I knew right away what it
was.”

BOMBS BUILDINGS
FOR EXCITEMENT
Norman Moody, a fireman
in Romsey, England, pleaded
guilty to three cases of
bombing abandoned buildings
in his neighborhood. He said he
just wanted to get the engines
out to breaks the monotony.
Moody’s lawyer said his
client went through the
buildings before he bombed
them to make sure there were
no tramps or courting couples
inside. The court sentenced the
fireman to a year in prison,
fined him $360, and suspended
him from the fire brigade for
three years.
