At this time the entire gradu-
ating class of Daniel Baker Coll-
ege of 1949 would like to express
our appreciation for the coopera-
tion and assistance given us not
only during our graduating per-
iod but for the past years we
have been together. We could not
have hoped for better relations
with one another or could we have
accomplished the little things we
attempted if we had not had the
good ole family spirit that dear
ole DBC has been noted for
throughout the years. Naturally
we are glad to be receiving our de-
grees and going out into the world
by ourselves but at the same
time it brings lumps in our
throats just to think of leaving
this campus and all who are con-
nected with it. However we have
resolved to keep in touch with the
school and what you are doing
with it in the future and we all
intend to take an active part as
far us we can in the ex-students'
THE COLLEGIAN
association. We want to be able to
brag on DBC wherever we go
so keep up the good work and keep
ole DBC shining out on the hill
We would like to be able to stick
out our chests and grin real big
wherever we are when you Hill
Billies shine in anything you at-
tempt. We know what kind of
stuff you are made of we know
you can do it.
So with this word 'thanks"
which does not come near to ex-
pressing our feelings toward you
people of DBC we will say so
long for now arid we want to see
you sometime and until we do-
keep these sacred halls open and
busy for they will come to mean
as much to you as they have to wc
seniors some day.
May we all make a million and
raise a dozen kids to send to dear
ole DBC.

The Program For a
Greater Daniel
Baker College
Speeches by Miss Azeneth Guil-
len Tony Walker and Everett Mc-
Crumb on Monday May 30; Tues-
day May 31; and Wednesday
June 1 will complete the special
series of radio programs known as
"The Program for a Greater Dan-
iel Baker College."
Monday at 7 :55 p.m. Miss Aze-
neth Guillen will devote special
attention to the spiritual life of
Daniel Baker students. Tuesday
evening Tony Walker will cite
several reasons why one should
attend Daniel Baker and on Wed-
nesday Everett McCrumb will
make a final appeal for a Greater
Daniel Baker College by pointing
out the value of the College to
the citizens of Brownwood and of
Brown County.
The programs which origina-
ted in the speech department and
which are designed to stimulate
interest in Daniel Baker point
out many of the advantages the
school has to offer. The "Alma
Mater" is sung each evening by
the Daniel Baker Chorus in order
not only to familiarize local citi-
zens with the new song but also
to enable the people to identify
the tune with the current "Great-
er Daniel Baker" campaign. That
is each time the "Alma Mater" is
played the listener thinks im-
mediately of the college.
Ten programs have already
been broadcast. Those students
of the speech department who
have already spoken are: Joe
Craft Wallace Schneider Will-
iam Maybe Everett McCrumb
Wayne Colvin Jack Smith Paul
Hill Marion Townsend OUio
Schrank and Bill Guthrie. Tony
Walker Everett McCrumb and
Joe Craft serve as announcers for
the programs.
