face Friday when the coupe in
which she was riding with her
cousin, David Andem n of Glade-
water collided with the car driv-
en by L. A. Smiley on Highway
49. near the Will Pope residence
southwest of Bogata. Both cars
suffered damage, including shat-
tered windshields and other brok-
en parts Miss Humphries was
the only one of the occupants of
the two automobiles to sustain

All wearing apparel and bed
clothing were taken from a
clothes line at the home of Ed
Parks at Minter Friday k night, a
Ford car belonging to Mr. Parks
in a shed nearby was stripped of
casings, rims and battery, and the
intruder proceeded to a cotton
wagon up the' road, where Boss
Gray had cotton in sacks, empty-
ing the cotton and taking the
sacks.
According to Mr. Parks, wash-
ing had been done at their home
that day, rain had fallen and
Mrs. Parks left the clothes on the
line to dry, intending to bring
them in Saturdiay morning, and
nothing was known of the theft
until she went for the clothes in
the morning.—Deport Times.
