Wharton CofC Plans
Christmas Parade
The Wharton Chamber of Commerce and
Agriculture has launched its planning for the
Wharton Annual Christmas Parade to be held
Dec. 4 at 10 a.m.
This year’s festivities will include for the first
time the entire contingent of marching units
from Arabia Temple in Houston and many other
added attractions.
The parade route is being examined to afford
the best opportunity for parade watchers
The business development committee is busy
working with local retailers for participation in
this event. Committee workers say this promises
to be the best parade ever. Good response is be-
ing received from band units in the area.
The search for a parade marshal is a carefully
held secret that will please everyone particular-
ly the youngsters. Local clubs and organizations
are urged to start preparations now.
