Child With Party
Two exes of TIP social club
Mrs. Gerald Fitzhugh and Mrs.
J. C. McCasland will be co-hosts
tonight for the club's annual
Christmas party which is given
In honor of a needy child.
Gifts will be exchanged among
the club members and sponsor
Miss Willie Mae Christopher and
a gift from the club will be pre-
sented the child. Santa Claus will
make his appearance at the party
to leave a host of small gifts for
the youth.
Each year the club selects
through the Child Welfare Office
a needy child who would not oth-
erwise have a real Christmas.
After Santa has made his ap-
pearance the group will ting
carols. Gwen Nunn will present
special music.
CHANTERS WILL

Chanters will hold as their
Christmas festivity a caroling
party Tuesday night.
The group will visit both
hospitals in Abilene and will
also carol to the patients at
the Abilene State Hospital.

Bulbs For Christmas
Want to make somebody very
happy at Christmas?
Harvey Pinner maintenance
superintendent and supervisor of
the grounds is wishing Santa
Claus would bring him some
canna lily bulbs.
Next spring he and his men are
going to plant flowers particular-
ly canna lilies on the north side
of the Quadrangle in an effort to
brighten the old building.
But he's got to have the bulbs
first.
Anyone having any extra bulbs
and desiring to donate a few to
McMurry is asked to call the
maintenance department.

Mid Cedar Boughs
"Deck the halls with boughs of
cedar" was the theme carried out
in decorations of the Kiva Christ-
mas party Friday night in the
Winsor Hotel.
Boughs of cedar and fall leaves
decorated the room which was
lighted by a huge white candle
centering the refreshment table
and by a blue and red lighted
Christmas tree the lights of which
cast a soft glow behind a thin
film of angel hair.
Each girl had the honor of re
ceiving from her date a "crazy"
Frosh Picnic
At Cobb Park
Hotdogs with all the trimmings
and folk games highlighted the
entertainment at the freshman
class picnic in Cobb Park Friday
night.
After an hour of feasting folk
games and recreation the group
gathered around the campfire to
sing songs.

To Annual Caroling Party
Delta Beta Epsilon will give
their annual Christmas caroling
party Dec. 18 at 7:30 p. m. for all
members of social clubs and their
dates.
The group will leave the
campus in a large truck which
will take them to Hendricks Hos
pital Abilene State Hospital and
to the homes of friends of
McMurry.

After the carolers have made
their visits the truck will bring

Christmas Party
President Hall's Christmas tree
will go up today. The tree will
be secured by members of Kiva
social club and will be decorated
by the girls in the dormitory.
It will be the center for the
President Hall Christmas party
which 'is scheduled for Wednesday
evening. At this time the girls
will gather about the tree to re-
veal whose "Pollyanna" they are.
As is traditional the girls in
the dorm drew names for a
"Pollyanna." After the drawing
a good deed is done each day for
the "Pollyanna" or a small gift
left in her room but the identity
of the girl is not revealed until
the Christmas tree gathering.
