they were the guests of Mr. Mc-
Campbell’s mother, Mrs. R. H. Mc-

A new Boy Scout Troop has been
organized in Realitos. The committee
sponsoring the movement was com-
posed of fourtof the leading business
and civic leaders in that section,
those being Mr. P. McBride, R. B.
Acebo, E. G. Ramirez, and C. C.
Roddy.
Selected as Scoutmaster was Mr. j
Forrest H. Clark. He appointed as
his assistants, Bill McBride, and
Gonzalo Garcia.
The people of Realitos, are proud
to know that some of their young
boys have joined such an honored
organization as that of the Boy
Scouts of America. They extend
their aincerest appreciation to the
young school teacher Noe Jimenez
of that section who made possible
this new and only Boy Scout Troop!
ever organized in Realitos.
They extend an invitation to
their neighboring cities and towns

operate with them to make it more
possible for their Troop to be a suc-
cessful one.
The new Troop was composed of

The Gulf Coast Council has re-
gistered them as Troop No. 84 in
the Laredo District.

Texas To Dedicate World’s
Second Largest Telescope
Official representatives of The
University of Texas at the dedication
of McDonald Observatory, near Fort
Davis, May 5, will be Dr. Homer P.
Rainey and Major J. R. Parten of
Houston, University president-elect
and regent chairman, it was anoun-
ced today.
Also representing the institution at
the opening of its astronomical labor-
atory operated jointly with the Uni-
versity of Chicago, will bt> Drs. M.
B. Porter, E. G. Keller. J. M.
Kuohne and H. J Ettlinger, faculty
members. They are professors of
pure mathematics, applied mathema-
tics and astronomy, and physics.
