Andy Galvan Garcia, 17, No. 1

with vandalising a car last
Thursday night. Damage of MOO
waa reported.
Lt. Robin Taylor, investigator
for the ECPD, said he wasn’t sure
at this point whether or not Garcia
would be tried on the vandalism
charges or simply returned to the
TYC.
Also transferred to the county
Jail was Garcia's 10-year-old
companion, who had alas escaped
from the TYC. Like Gercia, the
Juvenile was arrested Friday.
Taylor said he presumes the
juvenile will be sent beck to the
TYC.
Police arreated Morris Her-
nandez, 30* Higbee, on a warrant
issued out of Dallas. He was
asseseed a 9513 fine and tran-
sferred to the county jail.

for driving while intoxicated. He

Clevin Ray Sanford, 111 Sun-
nyaide, was arrested for
revocation of probation Sunday.
He was released upon paying a
$500 bond.
Marcus Allen Svatek, 2100
Hillcrest, Bay City, waa arreated
for DWI. He was reieaaed on a
$1,000 bond.
Paul James Meinhart, P.O.
Box 806, Palacios, waa arrested
for DWI and refusal to submit to
an intoxilyzer teat. He was
transferred to the county jail.
In other police news, Untie
Pick, CIS W. Norris St., reported
the theft of a $190 diamond ring
and $45 in stones from her
residence Friday night.
Vickie Matlock, P.O. Box 334,
reported the theft of her wallet
containing $122 in cash while at
the Silver Wings Ballroom
Saturday night.
M.H. Jacobs, 505 Market,
reported the theft of 20 gallons of
gas from two vehicles. Jacobs told
police the theft occurred
sometime over the weekend while
parked at his residence.

According to B J. Sablatura of
East Bernard, president of the 100
Chib, the entertainment next
week will be in the form of a
program by Tony Brigmon of
Grand Prairie, who reportedly
has the unique ability to help
successful people make im-
provements that are important to
them and to have fun doing it.
His program, called “Move To
Improve," is designed to help
participants fed good about
themselves, each other and the
organisation which sponsored the
meeting. While the emphasis is on
entertainment and fun, there are
four thamas or practical ideas
around which all of the tan is
centered.
To accomplish this Brigmon
uses music and song, clean
humor, audience participation,
true stories, poetry and insight
games.
Awards for “100 Club Officers of
the Year" will alao vary from the
two previous years, in the past the
officers were given cash prizes.
This year they will be presented
with stainless steel 357-Magnum
Smith and Wesson Model 696
service revolvers. They will be
engraved with their name and the
date, as well as the name of the
award.
An officer will be named from
each of the four major law en-
forcement agencies represented
in Wharton County — Wharton
County Sheriffs Deportment,
Department of Public Safety, El
Campo Police Department and
Wharton Police Department.
The 100 Club of Wharton County
presently has 69 life members and
159 regular members.
100 Clubs are primarily for the
purpose of providing financial
assistance to the families of law
enforcement officers killed in the
line of duty. Monies can also be
used to promote law enforcement
or to help agencies buy needed
equipment.
