Monday. February 22. 1999
A preliminary look at the $120 million package...
The $120 million proposed
capital improvements package
for Goose Creek CISD is the lat-
est in a line of bond-funded pro-
grams for the 18,000-student dis-
trict.
In what is being billed as the
. first phase of an overall rebuild-
ing of the district’s infrastructure,
virtually every branch of the dis-
trict gets something. Absent in
this proposed issue are any sub-
stantive improvements to the
administrative offices, which are
; i now housed in outdated and pro-
| ' ' gressively unserviceable offices
| I ’ on Market Street.
I X The Facilities Assessment
| Committee recommending the
; record package divided itself into
four subcommittees: elementary
schools, junior schools, high
