Man robbed twice Sunday
A 61-year-old Baytown man
told police he was robbed twice
in a 30-minute span Sunday.
The first robbery occurred in
the 3500 block of Market while
the victim was looking for a pay
telephone, he told police. Two
white teen-aged boys gfabbed
him from behind, stuck some-
thing that felt like a gun to his
neck, threatened him, took his
wallet and $55 cash from a
pants pocket, then ran away, he
said.
The man then headed for
home, walking from Market
Street towards Decker Drive
and ended up on Lee Drive
about 1 a.m. where he said a
black man robbed him. This
time, according to the victim,
the assailant shoved him to the
ground and went through his
pockets without saying a word
or showing a weapon. He took
75 cents — all the victim had
left — then fled.
