honor. The regular Thursday night
meeting of the lodge has been can-
celled and a special meeting sched-
uled for Friday to conform to the
schedule of the visiting dignitary.
Dr. Barrett occupies a leading
position in Elks’ affairs and head-
ed <thc national organization last
year. He is a newspaper publisher
of prominence and a nationally
known philanthropist. He has
served terms as United States con-
sul to Brazil, Cuba, and Venezuela.
