million chicks, up 9 percent from last year
and 6 percent from the previous week.
Texas producers hatched 5.41 million
chicks, 81 percent of the eggs set during
the week ending July 11. The hatch was
up 3 percent from a year ago and 6 percent
from last week.
The weekly set, at 6.72 million eggs, was 1
percent above last year. The set was down

The weekly egg set increased 4 percent
from a year ago to 113.44 million eggs.
