Museum News
Beginning March 5th, the Harper
Pioneer Museum will again be
open every Sunday from two to
four pm.
During the winter months, the
Museum has been opened by
special requests. Most recently,
four exchange students from
Lima, Peru were given a tour of
the Museum.
In 1994, 396 visitors registered.
Besides Texas, they were from
Louisiana, Arizona, California,
Nebraska, South Carolina,
Nevada, Colorado, and from the
province of Alberta, Canada.
According to Sue Black, the
membership chairman, one
hundred members of the
Historical Society paid their dues,
which are used to defray the
regular monthly expenses of the
Museum, such as utilities and
security services.
Joan Lennon, president of the
Society, presided at the January
meeting, at which time June 25th
was the date set for the annual
meeting, when new officers will
be elected.
We are not satisfied to be
right, unless we can prove oth-
ers to be quite wrong.

at her house the 3rd and 4th Tuesdays of the month, and that 42
games will be at the Catholic Church the first Thursday, March 2,
followed by the World Day of Prayer at the Pentecostal on Friday,
March 3. Both start at 2 pm. The Lutheran Women volunteered to
bring cookies for the reception on Sunday for four new members,
following church services.
Congratulations go to Ava and Jeffrey Jones on the birth of a baby
boy, Kelby Curtis, born February 2b at Fredericksburg.
