Jhe big question of the moment,
aside from really serious-opes, is
"Will he or won’t .he?’.’ - The
groundhog see his shadow Friday,

The Soil Conservation Service
-and- the^Fort Worth Press are
sponsoring an essay contest, “Con-
servation, Key to Texas Prosper-
ity,” among Llano’s students. A
suitable topic for Llano County if
ever there was one. Prizes of $15r
$10, and $5 will be given to the
three top Llano County entries be-
fore they are sent to Fort Worth
Feb. 15 for state judging. We call
that a worthy project!
From the number who- have
qualified to vote in Llano County
in the 1968 elections, it seems
there will be much interest, pol-
itically, during the year. There
were well over 3,000 which is a
rather good percentage of the pop-
.on of Llano County, estimated
by the new Texas Almanac at
6JW4. That 4* goodL no? '
