BAPTIST REVIVAL
CONTINUES
Pastor Vernie Pipes reports
that the attendance continues to
increase at each service of the
revival now being conducted at
the First Baptist Church.
Doc Geurin, of Grace Temple
Baptist Church, Dallas, is de-
lighting the congregation with
his children’s chorus, church
choir and special solos.
Dr. Willis J. Ray, evangelist
from Phoenix, Arizona, is bring-
ing good gospel messages at each
service.
The morning worship is at
10:00 and the evening at 8:00.
The First Baptist Church ex-
tends a cordial welcome to attend
these services. Dr. Ray will speak

At a regular meeting of the
Lions Club Wednesday at noon,
four members of the Mathis PT-A
were present and discussed pro-
gress made toward securing a
school cafeteria.
It was disclosed that some
$2,600 has been accumulated to-
ward equipping a cafeteria, how-
ever, the biggest obstacle at pres-

proper authorities, has issued *
warning against writing chain
letters and chain postal cards.
She adivses that chain letters of
all kinds are a violation of Fed-
eral Laws, and any person writ-
ing them is subjecting him or
herself to possible prosecution as
fraud order action.
Miss Nellie has already remov-
ed several postal cards used in a
chain letter for tea towels.
