children, 12 grand-children and
three great-grandchildren. Their
children are Mrs. Bobbie Che-
aper, Mrs. Tobie Carr, Bernard
Olive, Alton Olive, Oran Olive,
Leonard Ol^e, *11 of Baytown;
Mrs. Nannie ’Rawles of High-
lands and Mrs. Oma Lee Gray
of Seguta. ’
The Olives belong to Central
Baptist church.
In addition to a full civic
schedule, Olive plans to fill his
retirement hours with gardening
and his favorite hobby-bees.

193 of the total, 56 were filed
on drunks and 24 pertained to
miscellaneous charges.
Of the total, 199 dealt with
traffic offenders, 44 with drunks
and 23 with other counts.
The judge also issued 51 war.

He collected $2,717.50 in fines.
$47.50 in warrant fees and $412
in parking money for an overall
total of $6,177.
Of the cases disposed, of for
the month, 89 were dismissed;
137 were found guilty; two were,

bonds; nine are serving time.

broken down into these offense
categories:
Stop signs, 13; speeding, 45;
excessive noise. 12; illegal turn,
1; red lights, 9; wrong way or
one-way street, 4; wrong side of
street, 2; no operator's license,
37; following too close, 13; vio-
lation of city ordinance No, 218,
l; failing to grant right-of:way,
22; illegal passing, 5; improper
backing, 6; defective equipment.
11; no inspection sticker, 3; fail-
ing to remain and give informa-
tion, 5; failing to yield right-of-
way to emergency vehicle, 1;
failing to give hand signal, 1;
double parking, 1; and blocking
drive, 1.
The in-jail record .revealed 48
persons who were drunk in pub-
lic; eight who were drunk in
their cars; 10 who disturbed the
peace; one for vagrancy; five for
theft under $5; two for consum-
ing beer in an improper place;
one with destruction of city
property; two- with destroying
private property; and three with
discharging firearms in the city.
