Forget M«* Not Party.
Mrs. Si, I). Procter was the
hostess to a delightful party
Wednesday afternoon, October
22 in .compliment to Miss
Gladys Josephine Bell, Tues-
day’s bride.
The guests were bidden with
the invitation to bring thim-
bles and during the merry
hours nimble lingers * himmed
one dozen table doilies for the
honoree while the conversation
rail along the line of “The first
proposal,” “the wedding,” and
other similar topics as each
told her experience and made
known her wishes.
Aftef the Work for the after-
noon had been completed,games
of the ever popular bridge were
indulged in, after which the
guests were invited into the
dining room to enjoy a feast
for the eyes as well as the pal-
ate.
The table was a symphony
in blue. Forget-me-nots being
chosen as the motif. A~ijpark-
ling cut glass basket contain-
ing ferns and the dainty flower
so much liked for its endearing
sentiment and so appropriate
on this special occasion, adorn-
ed the center of the table and
smaller baskets with the chos-
en little blossoms were placed
at each corner.. Perky maline
bows of heavenly blue gave an
airy touch to thehandles of the
baskets matching in color the
costume of the lovely' bride-to-
be. ' ,
Exquisite hand painted place
cards bearing the ever signifi-
cant blue bird were effectively
used. The crystal candalabras
lilted with blue wax tajiers
completed the effect of unique
enchantment.
From the beautifully ap-
pointed table several courses
were served,.......the same color
scheme prevailed in the re-
freshments. Ice cream capped
in blue whipped cream being
the conclusion. Those present
besides the hostess and honor
guest were Mesd. J. E. Wat-
son, R. L. Hutcheson, Wallace

Sweet Potato Curing Plant Will
Be Ready!
v
On account of the condition of
weather — continued rain!—we will
not be able to handle Potatoes at the
plant before Nov. 1. We advise the
growers to cut the vinesTrom the
potatoes at once, so as to prevent rot,
and water sob. Also to protect the
potatoes in case of early frost, but do
not dig any potatoes for the plant
until further notice from the man-
ager, as we want potatoes delivered
to the plant immediately after they
are dug. We have hampers at the
plant which we will furnish farmers
for gathering potatoes.
