AN ACT
2 relating to procedures in a suit for dissolution of a marriage or a
3 suit affecting the parent-child relationship.BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
Section 6.709, Family Code,
is amended to read as
6 follows:
Sec. 6.709.
TEMPORARY ORDERS DURING APPEAL.
(a) In a suit
8 for dissolution of a marriage
[Not laterthan the 30th day after tho
erfected] , on the motion of a party or on the
10 court's own motion, after notice and hearing, the trial
court may
11 render a temporary order as considered equitable and necessary for
12 the preservation of the property and for the protection of the13 parties during an
[-tel appeal,
including an order directed toward
14 one or both parties [te]:
15 (1) requiring [--qu-ire] the support of either spouse;(2) requiring
[equ-e-e]
the payment of reasonable and
17 necessary attorney's fees and expenses;
(3) appointing
[appe-nt]
a receiver
19 preservation and protection of the property of the parties; [ee]
20 (4) awarding [ewaed] one spouse exclusive occupancy of
21 the parties' residence pending the appeal;
22 (5) enjoining a party from dissipating or transferring23 the property awarded to the other party in the trial
court's
24 property division; or
