THERESA BREMER
Services for Theresa Marie
Bremer, 85, of Baytown will be
held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 12,
1993, at Cedarcrest Cemetery
with the Rev. Richard Turner of
Redeemer Lutheran Church
officiating.
Ms. Bremer died Sunday,
Oct 10, in a Baytown hospital.
She was a member of Re-
deemer Lutheran Church, the
church choir, Society of Helping
Hands and she published the
congregation monthly
newsletter.
A native of San Antonio, she
came to Baytown in the early
1940s. Ms. Bremer owned and
operated Bremers Mimeograph
Printing Business for 30 years.
A charter member of Business
and Professional Women’s
Club, she was president from
1973-74. She worked with this
club until she became ill in
1990.
She also worked with the
Baytown Safety Council for 50
years. Ms. Bremer was a mem-
ber of the Baytown Chamber of
^Commerce and a life member of
jhe Baytown Symphony
Orchestra.
She was preceded in death by

Church with Dr. Ray Burchette
officiating.
Ms. Walker died Saturday,
Oct 9, in Dallas.
; She was bom on June 13,
11908, in Portales, N.M She was
/a first-grade teacher in the
Goose Creek school district for
21 years. Ms. Walker was a
member of Memorial Baptist
Church and the Sew-Sew uub
in Baytown.
; Survivors include her sons
and daughters-in-law, Ait end
LaNell Colthaip of Austin, and
Bruce and June Colthaip of Col-
■ orado; stepsons and daughters-
; in-law, Dr. Jon E. and Nancy
; Walker of Richardson and Da-

grandchildren; and nine great-
grandchildren.

friends from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Memory
Gardens. Pallbearers will be her
sons and grandsons.

Services for Betty Jean Jeffer-
son, 43, of Baytown, will be

Ms. Jefferson died Friday,
Oct. 8, in her home.
She lived in Baytown for 12
years.
Survivors include her hus-
band, Melvin R. Jefferson of
Baytown; father, N.T. Winn of
Odessa; brother, Charles Winn
of Portland, Ore.; five sisters,
Zelma Jean Stancale of Tacoma,
Wash., Linda Rogers of Odessa,
Della Davis of Monahan, Audry
Curter of Odessa and Jeraline
Stokes of Fla; grandmother,
Amy Jefferson; father-in-law,
Richard T. Jefferson; brother-
in-law, Douglass Jefferson and
family.
A wake will be held 7 to 9
p.m. on Wednesday at Frazier
Chapel.
Burial will be at White
Austin Brunt; and numerous
nieces and nephews and a host
of friends.
The family received friends
from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the
funeral home.
In lieu of usual remem-
brances, donations may be made
to the Missions Fund of Trinity
Tabernacle Assembly of God
Church, 1008 E. Lobit, Bay-
town, TX 77520.
Burial was at San Jacinto Me-
morial Park.

Glenn died Sunday, Oct. 10,
in a Baytown hospital.

Thelma A. Keys of Baytown;
daughter and son-in-law, Leslie
Gayle and Jay Thompson of San
Leon; brother, George Glenn of
Dallas; sister, Catherine Gayle
Cook of Houston; granddaugh-
ter, Brittany Thompson of San
Leon; and nephew, Jason Cook
of Houston.

p.m. Tuesday at the funeral
home.

Services for Arvilla Florence
Chase, 75, of Baytown were
held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct
12, 1993, at Trinity Tabernacle
Assembly of God Church with
the Revs. James E. Smith, Don
Wiehe and Walter Hallam
officiating.
Ms. Chase died Friday, Oct
8, in a local hospital.
She was bom on Sept. 4,
1918. A native of Osceola Mills,
Penn., she had lived in Baytown
for 56 years. She was the wife of
the late Robert “Bob” Chase, a
well-known community service
leader in Baytown and ’ mem-
ber of Trinity Tabernacle As-
sembly of God Church.
For many years she was an
active member of the American
Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post
323 and was a very active mem-
ber of the Anson Jones Elemen-
tary School PTA. Also for many
years she was director of the

saae in her local church!
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Robert “Bob”
Chase, and a son, Bobby Chase.
Survivors include her son and
daughter-in-law, Edmund and
Carolyn Chase of Baytown;
daughter and son-in-law, Ella
and Ted Brunt, of Texas City;
sister, Marie Whitehurst of Tuc-
son, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Eli-
zabeth Griffith of Greensburg,
Penn.; grandchildren, Edmund
Chase II, Wallace B. Chase,

sonic rites followed the church
service.
O’Brien died Saturday, Oct.
9, in a local hospital.
Bom on May 14, 1915, in
Beaumont, he had been a resi-
dent of the Baytown and Crosby
areas for 73 years.
He was a member of the
Highlands United Methodist
Church and Exxon Annuitants
Association. A 32nd-degree Ma-
son, he was an endowed mem-
ber of Sampson Masonic Lodge
No. 231 and a life member and
past patron of Crosby Chapter
No. 261, Order of the Easter
Star.
O’Brien was a former scout-
master and a former volunteer
fireman in Highlands.
A 1934 graduate of Robert E.
Lee High School, he attended
Lee College and several trade
schools. He retired from Exxon
in 1974 after 40 years of service.
He was chief operator on the
. ad unit at the time of
retirement.
He was preceded in death by
his parents, George H. and Lil-
lian O’Brien, and his first wife,
Billie Ruth Holleman O’Brien.
Survivors include his loving
wife of 43 years, Gladys Rick-
lefsen O’Brien of Crosby;
daughters and sons-in-law,
Cynthia Ann and Clifford Rick-
lefsen of Winnie and Patricia
Jean “Patti” and Patrick Bell of
La Porte; brother, John H.
O’Brien of Southfield, Mich.;
Brittany Baye Brant and Cody- grandchildren, Sue Ann and
