Next week we will carry Con
gfessaian Brady Gentry’s conclud-
ing newsletter to the people of
Panola County. The close of the
83rd session of Congress will
bring these informative letters to
a halt.
Congressman Gentry’s next let-
ter will be an appraisal of the 83rd
Congress first session. It is a mas-
ter piece of clarity, of straight
-from-the-shoulder discussion and
of facing issues fairly, faithfully
and courageously.
We who live In the Third Die*

Congressman Gentry has done

agreed with him or not on all meas-

hasnt* side stepped an issue. He
has voted and spbken his convic-

proud that our district has been
so well represented in Congress

Everyone connected with put-
ting over the Pioneer Party and
Rodeo can takq a well deserved
bow. Both were great shows and
brought lots of state-wide news-
paper and radio publicity to Pano-
la County.
The successful rodeo has estab-
lished that event as permanent
East Texas attraction, for it is
now assured that a rodeo can be
operated here each year succes-
sfully.

The County Heme Demonstra-
tion ladies not only got their
quoon candidate, Mias Iva Mae
Copeland. Mealed, hut made a
huge monetary contribution to
help defray expenses far the
Pienaar Party and rodeo. To
Thom and also to the other can-
didates and their supparters, a
let of credit is due far their sup-
part in putting ever the program.

Each year after the rodeo. Coun-

really the pappy of the rodeo idea,
declares he’s going to wash his
hands of further such undertak-
ings. But this taste only until he’s
had a good night’s sleep. Next
morning he starts making plans
for next year’s wild west show.
