J. N. Chatfield, crusade chair-
man, reported on the progress
of the crusade at the Eaytown
branch meeting of the American
Cancer Society meeting at Sar.
Jacinto Methodist Hospital.
Chatfield said the intensive
coverage was handled by Mrs
Harlan Blackmon and Mrs. G.
Rex Curtir. with the assistance of
44 area captains and about 250
workers.
“On the other hand, money
donations are running disap-
pointingly below the society’s
needs,” the chairman conlinued.
Total collections to date are $4,-
250, of which J3,441 was received
in the house-to-house campaign.
Follow-up teams will continue
for two more weeks contacting
businesses which have not yet
been visited. A finaf report will
then be made Chatfield said.
