Carpenters By Air
SPOKANfi, UP!—A Spokane
contractor has begun his • own
"airlift" on a daily shuttle - be-
tween here and a town 66 miles
away, where he has a church
construction contract.
Paul E. Gemberfing, who Is a
private pilot, conceived the opera-
tion as the best way to overcome
a carpenter shortage in tiny Wil-
bur, Wash.
He said the daily trip for four
carpenters consumes no more
time than a suburban construction
job for most workers 33 minutes
each way.
