GCM Project Grad golf tourney seeking teams and sponsors
Goose Creek Memorial High School
Project Graduation organizers are looking
for teams and sponsors for a fund-raising
golf tournament to provide seniors a safe
night to celebrate on graduation night.
The GCM Project Graduation golf tour-
nament will start at 8 a.m. April 3 at the
Chambers County Golf Course, 1 Pinch-
back Drive, in Anahuac.
It will be a four-man scramble format.
It’s $360 a team or $90 per golfer.
To sponsor a hole, it’s $100. For gold
sponsors it’s $500, which includes banner
and plaque, and diamond sponsorship, for
$1,000, includes banner, plaque and team.
Lunch will be provided and there will
be a silent auction and door prizes.

CHAMBERS COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE BRIEFS
Thefts
• A coupon fraud was
reported at a department
store in the 8700 block of
Highway 146 on Tuesday.
Several people, including
employees, were involved
in coupon fraud. The total
loss is $4,820.
• A tailgate was report-
ed stolen Tuesday off of
a truck in the 8000 block
of Fox Street in Baytown.
The tailgate is reportedly
worth $500.
Aggravated
assault
A man was reportedly
stabbed in the chest by his
wife Tuesday in the 7000
block of FM 354. Law en-
forcement officials said the
woman had left the scene
and wrecked down the
road. Officers were unable
to locate her.
Burglaries
• A residence was report-
ed burglarized Tuesday
in the 10000 block of FM
1409, Old River. A TV and
a mini icebox were stolen
out of a travel trailer. The
total value was $250.
• A home was reported
burglarized Tuesday in
the 4000 block of River-
view Drive, Old River. The
victim told deputies that
someone came through a
window and/or the back
door of his residence. Sev-
eral items were taken and
they are valued at $6,315.
Auto thefts
• A 2012 white/brown
Keystone Bullet Travel
Trailer was reported stolen
Thursday from the 8000
block of Beaver Street,
Baytown. Other items in
the trailer were also.stolen.
The total value of the sto-
len items is $28,804.
• A1996 Ford F-150 was
reported stolen Saturday
from the 13000 block of
Hatcherville Road. The to-
tal value of the vehicle and
accessories is $8,600.
• A 2015 Black Nissan
Rogue was reported stolen
Saturday from the 8000
block of Beaver Street,
Baytown. It is worth
$25,000.
