Darrillo Merron Fails
went to be with his Lord
and Savior on Wednes-
day, December 10, 2014.
He was bom on Novem-
ber 24, 1942 in Marshall,
Texas to Otis and Alma
Fails. He was preceeded
in death by his parents.
He leaves behind his
wife of 45 years Irma
Ann Fails, daughter Lois
(Ben Rasberry), son Den-
nis (Jamie Fails), brothers
Darro, Arvin, Durwood
and a sister, Threcia; as
well as three grandchil-
dren, Danielle Rasberry
and Emily and Joshua
Fails and several nieces
and nephews.
After graduating from
Stephen F. Austin High
School in Port Acres in
1960, he proudly joined
the United States Army,
serving for 3 years in the
4th Armored Division.
Darrillo was a skilled
journeyman carpenter,
and worked nearly 40
years for Brown and
Root.
He was a member of
the Rayburn Parkway
Baptist Church near the
St. Augustine Park at
Lake Sam Rayburn. He
enjoyed hunting, fishing,
laughing and regaling
anyone who would listen
with comical stories from
his life. In his retirement
years, he could usually be
found at a local gun show
or at his house on Lake
Sam Rayburn.
The family would like
to thank all the staff at St.
Luke’s Episcopal Hospi-
tal in Houston, especial-
ly Dr. George Younis. A
special thanks also to his
longtime family physi-
cian, Dr. Anthony Capili
at West Chambers Medi-
cal Center.
A Memorial Celebra-
tion of Life for Darrillo
will be held on Sunday,
December 14, 2014 at
2:00 pm at Rayburn Park-
way Baptist Church lo-
cated at 18689 FM 1751,
Bronson, Texas, 75930,
with Bro. Russell Poison
officiating. (The church
is near the entrance to
St. Augustine State Park
at Lake Sam Rayburn).

fantasy football.
He was a loving husband,
“Popa”, brother, and friend
who loved life. He loved
his family and puppies un-
conditionally.
He was preceded in death
by his parents, Bolton, Sr.
and Jeanne Morrison. He is
survived by his wife, Keren
Morrison of Mont Belvieu;
daughters and sons-in-
