Residence Burned
Thursday Night
Preston Slaughter and fam-
ily visited Mr and Mrs. Bert
Chesser Thursday night and
when they returned home the
house and contents had burned.
The place is better known as
the J T Coleman farm home.
The house was leased by Mr.
Slaughter from the owner, Mrs.
Lee, of Iraan and her son,
George Lee had been living
there prior to leasing it to the
Slaughter family.
Mrs. Slaughter was before
her marriage, Jewell Chesser,
and this Is her third home to
have been destroyed by fire.
Once the home of her fattier,
Jim Chesser, was burned wher
she was about grown. Eleven
years ago fire swept their home.
Mr and Mrs. Slaughter have
three children.
Mr and Mrs., Van McGilva
and Mr. and Mrs. Jim William
son visited, in Crystal City la
week.
Mr. and Mrs. T L Adams
have gone to the Valley.
Dry here yet. Some folks
haven't planted a garden seed
yet
