City Of Cuero Mayoral Election
It is your choice.
Choose the candidate that can do the job best
and one that you would be proud to
represent Cuero.
RE-ELECT
MCHAELTHAMM
Dear Citizens of Cuero,
May 2, 1998 is an extremely important day for the future of the City of
Cuero. The City of Cuero is continuely becoming stronger and more vibrant
but this has not happened overnight. It has taken a considerable amount of
hard work and dedication, not by talking, but by going to work and getting the
job done.
When I became Mayor I said, “I would work hard at setting a solid foun-
dation, for our children to be able to set foot on, continue to make Cuero a
desirable place to stay and bring positive opportunities into our community.” I
have carried thru and expanded on each of these ideals by working on get-
ting the renovation of the park, addition of a covered pavilion in the park,
bringing attention and studies for funding to our aging infrastructure
system(water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer) and helped push for the
adoption of the sale tax for economic development and reduction of property
tax. Other items include recycling, repairing leaks in the water system, street
repairs and renovation, and tax abatement for housing.
There are many issues facing the City of Cuero not just one or two.
None of these issues facing the City of Cuero are ones which cannot be
solved. It will take a considerable amount of time and hard work by working
together toward a common goal.
I would like to see Cuero grow and continue to grow stronger. We have
a chance to do something about our future and much of that depends on you.
I make a pledge to continue to fight for Cuero’s best interest in order
for Cuero^to become the shining star it deserves to be. I would appreciate
your vote of confidence for re-election as Mayor of the City of Cuero.
Respectfully,
9hUaJ> -
