Solomon Barrow DRT
Hennett* Jorden will present a program Monument Hill
LaGrange during a meeting of Solomon Barrow chapter of
the Daughters of the Repuhlic of Texas on Nov 18 at the home
of Hazel Bays, club president
Mrs Bays opened the last meeting, held in the home of Hess
Haggard, with prayer pledge to the flag and the song Texas

Henrietta Jorden was presented a past presidents pin and
corsage by several members at a luncheon held in her honor at
the Red Lobster Inn prior tothe meeting
President Bays announced that the Sesquicentenmal pins
may be ordered until March 1 19M Shealso announced that

of La Porte LPTWD was formed
two years ago as a volunteer,
non profit organization
In the near future LPTWD
hopes to extend its program to
community intervention by
opening an office on a full time
basis with someone on staff who
can work with the schools com
munity organizations and in
dustrv to provide educational
materials speakers and referral
services
