President Mai Morley appointed Frank Hollibaugh, Lester
Lacobe and Robert Kingsbury to the nominating committee for
the 1985-86 year, which begins Oct. 1.
Wilbur Hurst, T.A.P.A. vice president, gave an update on ac-
tivities of the National Society of Public Accountants.
Joe Johnston, member of the Select Committee on Legisla-
tion and Legal Action, gave a report on the TlA.jPfA. June con-
vention.
Beth Platt, committee chairman, gave a progress report on
the tax clinic to be held in Pasadena next tax season.
It was decided by the membership that the chapter would
purchase a banner and name tags. Joe Johnston was appointed
to make these purchases. Colors for the banner are to be green
and white.
The. Pasadena Chapter serves East Harris County. For in-
formation, call Dona Conley, secretary, at 428-2511.
Tri-City Grandmothers Club
Tri-Cities Grandmothers Club will have a business meeting
at 1 p.m. Aug. 6, followed by fellowship and games.
The club’s annual benefit games party, which is open to the
public, will be held Aug. 14 at Wyatt’s Cafeteria. The event is
supported by members and contributions from friends.

on July 29. The highlight of the trip was a tour of the Bluebell ice
