The plan is to make as full use
of the parcel post as is possible.
The chief problem discussed today
was the matter of practicable con-
tainers for milk and eggs. The
pfcan is to get into personal torn h
with farmers throughout Maryland
and Virginia and to get household
goods direct from the producers
via the parcel post. Whether the
Alliance will appoint agents to
canvass the Farmers or whether
the women will canvass by mail
was not settled today. This ques-
tion will be taken up later it was
decided however to begin at once
a campaign among Washington;
housewives to increase membership i
in the Alliance so that goods can
be purchased in large enough <juan-1
titles to mutually benefit the pro-1
ilucer and the purchaser. Only by j
buying in large quantities it was i
declared can the farmers be
brought into line and Bell at such
price* as will mean real saving for
the consumers.
