A BEAUTIFUL STEER
Young Lady Expresses Her
Admiration in Rhyme
OF THE FROLICSOME BOVINE
Two Cars of Fancy BccTes Arrive In tho

Stockyard Notes
The Iicantifal Steer
Miss Ella Paxton known as tho Cow-
girl of the Panhandle recently favored an
enlightened Western audience with the fol-
lowing original production which in her in-
troductory remarks she styled a paradox
on Beautiful Snow Sho also stated that
it was paradoied while sitting on her
horse on day herd on her fathers ranch in
tho Panhandle situated about three miles
from Mobectie Tcxl
O the steer the beautiful steer
Kicking the rleas from the point of his ear
Flapping its tall in its frolicsome cite
Uopping about like a Snake river nea
Bellowing
Ko iring
Thundering alongl
Filling the air with its steerical ong
Till the rumble from its lung laden pits
Scares timid jack rabbits and wohes into fits
To me th re is nothing on earth half so dear
As the long horned slim bodied Tcxican steer
How often I wish that I was a steer
With a long shiny horn at the butt of each ear
With a clear fearless ejc and a tapering tall
That would snap like a whip in the maddening
gale
How Id beller
And roarl
And paw up the ground
And lope over the hills w ith a thundering sound
And snort like a terror and Iramn ud mv back
When I saw the ild cowboy pursuing msuif
track JiVV
And Id laugh at his oaths as he fell to the rear
O Id be a Jo dandy if I was a steer
I once roped a beautiful steer but I fell
Fell from my pony with ear piercing yell
Fell with the lariat fast to my wrist
Fell to be dragged through the grass wet with
the mist
Bumping
Holllng
Grunting I went
A full mile a minute or I dont want a cent
The gravel and grass yanked the hide from my
nose
And ruined a pair of 40 cent hose
Aye een my bustle was thrown out of gear
By the frolicsome freaks of that beautiful steer

Your butchers here dont propose to kill
this class of beeves Even if the packing
