Give Little Bass
Chance To Grow Up
AUSTIN, Tex.—Give the little
bass a chaqce to grow up. This was
the ^advice of the Director of Law
Enforcement of the Game & Fish
Commission this week.
“Every lake and stream in Texas
is filled with little bass six and
eight inches long.’’ the Director
said. “They'll follow plugs into
the boat in droves. Occasionally
they'll get caught. Every care
should he taken in releasing these
little fellows again. They’ll Iw
keepers this time next year if we
just give them a chance to grow.
, The Director said reports of thes
little bass are coming in from al
over the state.
The legal limit on bass is sevei
inches. "Most of the little has
now being caught are approachinj
that size,” the Director said.
