Oklahoma City shook Houston
further sway from second place in
the Texas League last night with
a barrage of home runs as San An-
tonio took a close one from Tulsa
to cling to the runner-up position.
The Indians won from Houston
6 to S because of three four-bag-
gers. Howard Doyle and Hal Har-
rigan hit for the circuit in the
fourth. Then newly • looted Man-
ager John Kroner knocked out the
other one in the fifth. Houston got
to Clay Touchstone for four runs
in the fifth but fell short of knot-
ting the count.
Tulsa improved its batting aver-
age but not its position in the
standings. The Oilers hit John
Whitehead and Ralffh Winegarner
for 13 blows but could get only
one run each in the second and the
ninth. Mike Christoff got himself
a circuit blow In the sixth for one
of the three Mission tallies. Julian
Tubb went the route for Tulsa, al-
lowing nine hits but losing when
the Padres got a ninth Inning

Beaumont salvaged some of its
pride by thumping the Dallas Reb-
els 10 to 4. Sal Gliatto could not
hold the Exporters. Eddie Marleau
and Joe Demoran followed him In
the mound The veteran Earl Cook
kept 11 Dallas hits scattered
Shreveport won its third of four
games at Fort Worth. The score
was 4 to 1. The win meant a fourth
tie with Tulsa for the Sports.
