Picture to yourself how happy 1

With such abundance as exists in :
this country there should not be a
child who is not reassured again j
this Christmas that there is a
Santa Claus.
The Lions Club and the Young
Women’s Missionary Society are!
spreading Christmas cheer among-
the poor families of Ozona and
through the efforts of these two
agencies many children in homes
where Santa Claus would no doubt
fail to call will be made happy
this Christmas. Those organiza-
tions will supply necessities such
as food and clothing to such fami-
lies and in addition the Lions Club,

The Associated Charities of O-
zona launched its drive Monday
for funds to take care of charity
needs in Ozona for the next
twelve months. This organization
is backed by leading citizens of
Ozona and has the endorsement of
all organizations in the city. Its
perfection is the result of months
of study by those best qualified
to consider w'ork of this nature
and the plan finally adopted in
the organization of the Associated
Charities ps merely a small-scule
model of general charity bodies in
operation in larger centers of
population.
it is the plan of heads of this
movement to give every person in
Ozona an opportunity to contri-
bute to the general charity fund
where charity organizations are
supported by annual drives thut
when such cases as these are re-
ferred to the investigating com-
mittee by the first person they ask
for help that nine times out of ten
they disappear and are on their
way to the next town where they
can work on sympathies of those
unfamiliar with their methods
and thus accumulate more money j
than they could by honest labor.
If the present drive of the As-
sociated Charities is successful,
and the splendid start it has made
indicates it will be an overwhelm-
ing success, there will not be an-
other request for donations for
charity until this time next year.
The contribution you make at this
time will be your offerings for
genera! charity work in the city
for the next twelve months. Thus,
you will be saved the necessity of
contributing to this cause and
that through the whole year, and
you can be assured that the money
you place in the hands of this or-1
ganization w ill be spent only after J
