TICK FEVER IS RAGING!
Lots of cattle are dyincr every day Most
people wait till they lose one or two head of
good cattle before they have them vaccinated.
My advice is to have them vaccinated before
you lose any, That is the most economical wav
—not to lose any Cattle are too high for a
man to take any chance on them"getting Tick
.Fever. I hare vaccinated 1500 or 2000 head in
the last 8 months and none of them hove taken
tick fever yet, so I think tnat is mighty good
proof that * ‘an ounce of prevention is worth a
pound of cure ’ ’ The thing to do is to vacci-
nate your cattle against this dreadful disease.
J can vaccinate them and render them immune
for 6 months If one takes lick fever within 0
months atter being vaccinated, 1 will furnish
the medicine free with which to treat it.

Seventy Pounds—Takes Tan-
lac And Gains Twenty
One Pounds
“I’ll tell you (the truth; if I
knew thins! Thu lac was not going
to be sold any more I would liny
every bottle on thalt counter over
lb ere before I left iliere tonight,”
said W. A. Sp'Jtzer, ait Patton-
Pope’s Drug Store, Birmingham,
Ala., recently ,Mr. Spi.tzcr is a
well-known painter employed by
t''e Tennessee Coal, Iron "hud
Kailway Company, and resides
ft 010 South Sixty-eighth1 street,
Birmingham,
“Before I began taking it I
only weighed 135 pounds, TodJay
I got on the scales and tipped
them ait 156—a. gain of 21 pounds
—and more than I ever we'ghedi
in my life. That’s exactly what
four botitleisi of T'anlac did1 for
me. Just look at this belt! I
bad to let it omit four inches
and it is still tight on me.
About seven yelans ago I com-
menced having stomach trouble
and it kept getting' 'worse until I
began having attacks of1 acute
indigestion. When these attacks
came on me I would just swell
up like a mule with the colie and
get as limp as a i ag. My breath
would get short, aindi my pulse
so welak, I was afraid my heart
would stop beating. The stomach
pump had ho be used every time,
as this was the only thing that
would relieve me. Finally any
kidneyis went back on me, and
don’t believe I was out of plain
right or day for four long
years, and I actually got so weak
I could hardly stand on my feet
much less work. I was fading
away fast and got down to w&ere
1 only weighed seventy pounds
I wais almost a walking skeleton
and I tell you I flirted with my
grave and guests I would have
been, in it if it hadn’t been for
Tanlae. For four years I could
not hilt a lick of work. I guess I
whs as near dead a® any man you
cveir saw to be alive. But, look at
me now; I am strong and well
row as I ever was in my life, and
can do ais big a (.lay’s work as
c ny man.
Yes, sir,, if .ever a mortal
man had been thru the rub I
am the man. I p/aiid out, I guess
not less than $2,500 in. the past
six c r\sPven years for doctors’
b 11s and medicines, and nave
bought enough medtoine to own
an interest in one of them, ‘and
I was lucky mot to have an un-
ci er taker’s bill to wind it all up.
“I have beeiEl a painter all
my life, and have libd painter’s
colic several times., so guess that
bad a lot to do with my condition
Aruyway, there seemed to be
nothing! that would straighten me
out, Everytdne I heard of a new
medicine I would get it. I read
of Twnlaic one day, and—'"that’s
cnJa time I hit it right. That’s
what saved me. Why, Tanlae
j up t raised me -right out of my
grave, I ean' eat anything notv,
and ifictually I eat so much I
get ashamed of my self. My
landlady i.mid the other day she
would have to raise my hoard. I
told her,, though, she must re-
member that for four years slie
made money off oif me, and/ thpjt
T was only making up for lost
time. Why, seven or eight bis-
cuits at a meal douto satisfy me
now, but I just quit at that for
fear I will overdo matters, but
everything tastes so good to me
now ! And sleep ! Why,. I never
would wake up if they didn’t
come in and shake me. I haven’t
a pain in. me now.

We represent twenty of the
oldest, strongest and best Old-
Line Companies of the United
States. The rates charged by
these old companies, some of
which are over one hundred
years old, are just the same as
those charged by the small
companies, as the State of
Texas has entire jurisdiction
over the rates to be used in
writing fire insurance and all
companies are compelled to
use the same rates.
We write Farm Property,
Outside Mercantile Property,
Cotton Gins, Country Schools
and Churches; insure Live-
stock against death from any
cause; insure crops against
damage by hail; insure your Automobile against
fire and tornado anywhere in the United States or
Canada, and if desired can furnish you with a Com-
bined Automobile Policy protecting you against liabil-
ity for personal injury to others and property dam-
age, also fire, theft, transportation and tornado.
We write Life Insurance at the same old rates.
Tti fact, we are here to serve vou arid can render
you efficient service by reason of the fact that we
are just finishing our eighth year of continuous
service in the general insurance business. We ap-
preciate the patronage that has built for us

ta
A nice lot of Monuments and Markers at Close Prices. Can save
you 15 to 25 per cent and give the very best material and the highest
grade work. How? By eliminating the agent-commission-busines,
which means that amount saved for the buyer. Agents will tell vou
their firms can buy marble or granite cheaper than your home dealer
and make you a better price, which is false and misleading, as we
dealers pay exactly the same price for the same grade of stock. Fig-
ure with me before placing your contract, as I can save you money—
and I guarantee my work. Will take feed or Good Stock in trade.
