El Louise May, left, David Hoover and Sara Eddy received awards in Mercedes High
School assembly Monday. David and Sara received awards presented by the American Legion
and El Louise and Sara were presented awards for essays,
Spencer Tracy as Father Flanagan and Mickey Rooney as
Whitey Marsh have a heart to heart talk in the above scene
from Metro’s “Men Of Boys Town” which will be the attrac-
tion at the State theatre in Mercedes beginning Sunday. The
picture comes here reputed to be among the best of the
year’s releases.
