whenever his services aro needed
having been ele < ted as orator of the
day came forward and was intro-
duced to the crowd by Hon Judge
W M Allison If we may be
judges his oration was certainly
appropriate wel delivered and
most highly commendable in every
respect After this the Band ren-
dered some choie selection then
Dinner was announced An abun-
dance of good eatables was prepar-

a very pleasant manner tho chil-
dren enjoyed themselves with
swings etc a dancing floor was pro

is the wish of tha Sau Saba News
and no doubt indorsed by 3 or 4000
poople Wo ma te special mention
of the fact that r early all the bus-

Tho high tone elements of En-
gland aro crying loud against the
actions of the Piince of Wales be
cause of his com cctions with the
Baccarat Scandal It seems that
ho is being condemed pretty gen-
erally Wo wonder how many cf
the big bloods ol England are now
condemning the Prince and in day-
light crying against him and in
courts denounce him nnd yet have
played a many gamo wih tho Prince
and oven now would slip off with
him and indulge in a gamo with
him were they rot afraid of tho
public eye This is all wrong
wrong from begining to end The
whole thing is an evil it is an evil
within itself and nn evil because it
leads to greater evils etc But
while they aro active in denoun
cing tho Prince there aro other
high bloods as deep in tho mud
as he is in tho mire The Prince
played at games he certainly had
accomplices Tl en why abuso the
princo alone But it not nnfre
quently happens that in cases of
this kind one getn all tho censuro
though the other may be deeper
in the crime may be more guilty
and their actions both before and
after may oponly show moro ovil
intent and bespeaks blacker heart
and tho public miy know of these
things yet tho o o man receives
all tho blame condemnation etc
while the others not only go free
but ovon aro the loudest iu con-
demning and deiouncing Thoy
and others think it is proper to
condemn the condemned The
princo has done wrong but he has
plenty of associates who should
help him bear tho burdens
