NO NEW DEVELOPMENT.-
After aa absence of two weeks
United States District Attorney
W. B. Johnson has returned
from Washington where he was
summoned in connection with
the tribal warrant cases. The
entire matter was gone over
with the department of justice.
Messrs. McMurrav and Cornish
were also present at the hearing
given the cases- Mr. Johnson
states that the cases against
these attorneys are still pending
and that no djspositios has been
made of them by the department
It is probable, he savs, that the
matter will, flm referred to the
iFlor tinaTaCttor;-
Mr. Johnson says that no oth-
er cases were brought up and
that all cases will be docketed for
trial. It is possible that some
aetion will be taken on the Mans-
field, McMurray & Cornish cases
within the next two weeks.
Discussing the matter of ap-
pointments of federal officials,
Mr. Johnson is sanguine that
Judge Hosea Townseud will be
re-appointed. He does not en
tertain the slightest apprehen-
sion that Townsend or Clayton
of the Central district are in
danger of losing out- He believes
that some action will be ‘akenon
candidates during the next few
days. Ha states that a strong
it is being made to prevent
the re-appointment of Raymond
and that a delegationof attorneys
from the Western district is in
[^Washington fighting Raymond.
' Mr. Johnson reiterated his for
■ j mer statement that he was not a
i candidate for district attorney.—

Thanksgiving, which falls on
the last day of this month is
known by all as a great event, a
day set aside by the president of
the United States as a national
holiday of Thanksgiving. It is
the universal custome of the
American people to feaston tur-
key on this event, which is a
treat to many people, and no
boubt the people of Gainesville
will have their share of festivit-
ies, and will have another treat
if they go to see ‘‘Thou Shalt
Not Kill” at the opera house that
afternoon and evening, which is
also a great event and a feast
not to be d trested like turkey,
which is soon forgotten after eat-
ing, but something that will
dwell on the minds continually
for years to come.

"Brown’s In Town.”
In those days of too sugges-
tive comedy bearing the trade
rnarK of Paris, it is gratifying to
note the success of a play that
is both American! in authorship
and theme. ‘‘Brown’s in Town”
is the title of the farce which
will be at the attraction at opera
house Friday Dec, 1.
It is by Mark E. Swan, is
without the least suggestion of
vulgarity decidedly humorous
and is an unquestioned success.
That a:l this can be said of a de-
cidedly Amerioan comedy is
something on whiqh to congratu-
late the theatrical patrons of tills
country in those days of degene-
rate dramatic productions.

Had Given up All Hope of Ever
Making Any Cure.
Mrs. I. B. Jones, Addington, Ind.
T.. writes: ‘‘ My littlje girl had been
suffering for two ytar$ from eczema,
and' during that time I could not
get a night’s sleep, her ailment
was very severe. I had tried so many
remedies and spent so much nraiey,
deriving no benefit, I; had given up
all hopeof making any cure. Asalast
resort I was persuaded to try Cuticura,
and to my great delight a tuarkctl
change was manifested, from the first
application. I gave tne child a bath
with Cuticura Soap, using a soft piece
of muslin cloth. This I did twice a
day, each time following with Cuti-
cura Ointment, and; at the same
time gave the Resolvent, according to
directions. One boX| of Ointment
ami two bottles of the Resolvent, to-
gether with the Soap, effected a per-
manent cure. I submit this for pub-
lication, hoping it will assist other
sufferers in curing themselves.”
