Wortham Study Club Enjoys Holiday Party
Home of Mrs. D. R. Wimberly, Dec. 16
In a setting of colorful Christ-
mas decorations, members of the
Wortham Study CluL held their
annual holiday party in the home
of Mrs. D. R. Wimberly on Wed-
nesday afternoon, December 16,
at 3 p.m.
The living room was radiant
with candlelight and the gaily
-lighted tree.
The mantel decor was fashion-
ed with white styrofoam rein
door, lights and pink lustre balls.
Pink tapers burning in brass wall
sconce added interest to the ar-
rangement
Mrs. Mark Gorman, president,
extended Christmas greetings and
Mrs. B. J. Reese, secretary, re
ported the club had 100 percent
attendance at the meeting.
Mrs. Joe Bates expressed ap-
preciation to the members for
their assistance in heping to en
tertain Ward 2, Mexia State
School, with a Christinas party
whhh was held on December 10.
The Federation Counselor, Mrs.
Van Hook Stubbs, gave a report
and explained the re-districting
of dubs in the state.

The tea table was laid with a
pink net cloth' and was adorned
with a pink and silver arrange-
ment accented with lustre balls
and silver leaves. The table was
softly illuminated by glowing
pink tapers.
Pink and silver decorations
were noted on the buffet and
credenza. Table appointments
were silver.
Assisting the hostess with
serving duties were Mmes. Mun-
roe, Gorman, Jones and Bounds.

The college students of the
Methodist church were guests
for breakfast Sunday morning,
Dec. 27, of the Woman’s Society
of Christian Service at the West-
ern Grill in Mexia. The group
met with the college group from
the Mexia Methodist church.

in a most impressive ceremony.
