Hoffman, giant guard for the
All-Stars, made a beautiful tackle
from the sideline during the sec-
ond quarter. Bryant caught some
beautiful passes in the second, al-
so.
In the third quarter many pret-
ty and many freak plays were run
on both sides. This quarter was
not very interesting because of so
many substitutions on either aide.
The fourth quarter was very in-
teresting. Matthews passed thir-
ty-five yards to Hughes to put the
ball in scoring territory. He then
passed to Bryant over the goal
fine, but Horner Tudor, All-Star
safety, knocked the ball into Don-
aho’s hands for the only touch-
down of the game. Matthews con-
verted the extra point by drop-
kicking. Ferguson, husky All-Star
passer, zipped one to Tudor for a
gain of nineteen yards. This start-
ed a drive which was stopped on
the Jackets’ nine yard line by the
final whistle blown by All-Aiperi-
can timekeeper, Peb Latham.
All-Star coaches showed that
they understand the game by their
fine management of the team and
good choices in substitution.

YELLOWJACKETS WIN OVER
ALL-STARS BY FIVE POINTS
The high schohol team came out
of a hard, hilarious game against
the all-stars with a five point lead.
Although they wort the game,
they trailed the All-Stars for the
first half by two points.
In the first quarter the punts
were flying all over the field.
Matthews showed his usual abil-
ity to boot the old pigskin high
and far. Once, when the ball was
on the Jackets’ twelve yard line
they pulled a fake kick. Matthews
received the ball and faked a kick,
Hughes, who had shifted to end,
came back of him and took the
ball around end for a gain of sev-
en yards. On the next play, the
ball was centered low and between
Matthews’ legs; it rolled over the
end of the field ror an automatic
safety, making the score 2-0 in
favor of the All-Stars.
In the second quarter there
were three good breaks. The first
was a fumble for a loss of twen-
ty-eight yards for the All-Stars,
but a Yellowjacket was offside.
Another was the interception of
a pass by Conroe Johnson and a
return of ten yards. He, also,
seemed to have much trouble try-
ing to stay on his feet because his
shoes were a bit large. Another
was a triple reverse pulled by the
Jackets. When the boys had finish-
ed handling the ball, Matthews
had the ball and made twenty-
yards around end.
