2004 all homes builders in
the State of Texas will be
required to register new
homes, material improve-
ments to existing homes,
and certain interior reno-
vations exceeding $20,000
with the Commission, as
well as remit a $30 fee for
each registration.
Once the transfer of title
occurs, a builderwill have
up to 15 days following the
end of the month to regis-
ter the home and submit
the required fee.
If a builder is involved in
a transaction that does not
involve a transfer of title,
the registration and fee
muyst be sent to the
