LONE STAR STATE PHILATELIST.
Che Toolatelist's Volume 1, Number
'first 1, of the Philatelic
Voot foremost. Puck-Literaturist is
at hand and consists of
four pages, including advertisements.
Mr. Adair seems to have resigned the
position of assistant editor, as the bus-
iness announcement presents Moses
B. Page as editor and publisher. This
monthly will be a combination humor-
ous and literary journal, and also act-
ing as official organ of The Iowa Phi-
latelic Association. Judging by their
first attempt, the humorous depart-
ment will take a back seat under force
of more important matter, as there is
not visible productions fitted to excite
ones visibles in this edition excepting.
a few slang phrases, a couple of dog-
gerel verses, and a dialect communi-
cation from "von Dootchman." We
await with interest the next edition,
which will prove more conclusively
whether philately can furnish material
for a humorous monthly. The editor
produces an unintentional play of wit
when he heads his editorials "Editors
Sweetest Lies," and signs himself
"Truthfully, The Publisher."
With thanks. We beg to acknow-
ledge with thanks the
receipt of the following exchanges:
