Headed By Former
Erath County Boy
Pyron public schools will be
headed the coming session by M.
H. Greenwood, former Erath coun-
ty resident who has been making
his home in West Texas for the
past several years, according to
word received here last week
through the Scurry County Times.
Mrs. Greenwood will assist her hus-
band as teacher in the primary de-
partment in the schools there.
Mr. Greenwood graduated from
iKn Tarlefon College in 1925 and
in 1928 he received his B. A. de-
gree from North Texas State
Teachers College, Dent; n. He com-
pleted work for his masters degree
last year at Texas Tech at Lub-
bock. He has been teaching for ten
years. He has taught history and
Spanish and coached athletics in
; high schools at Desdemona, Bee-
; vilie and Sterling City and for the
! past four years he has been em-

school at Garden City in Glasscock
county.
Mrs. Greenwood took her B. S.
degree from N. T. S. T. C., Denton,
in 1928 with a major in English.
She received her masters degree
at Texas Tech in 1935. She taught
English at Desdemona for three
years before going to Garden City,
where she has been teaching with
her husband. Mr. Greenwood is the
son of Dr. and Mrs. W. M. Green-
wood of Fairview community, near

Three New Members Are
Added to Aerea H. D. Club
Three new members, Mrs, Her-
man Baker, Mrs. Luther Ramnlev
and Mrs. Day Carter, were added
to the Acrea Home Demonstra-
tion Club at the last meeting,
which was held Tuesday, June 9,
with Mrs: Lee Lewis.
At the next meeting, which is
scheduled for Tuesday, June 23,
an ice cream demonstration will
be enjoved by the club members in
the home of Mrs. Baker.
Mrs. Mackey was selected as the
delegate to attend the short course
at A. and M. College this summer,
Miss Ellen Steffens, county dem-
onstration agent, met with the
club and finished checking all of
the foundation patterns.

Meet at Duffau
The Duffau 4-H Club has been
having some interesting meetings
recently. one of which was held
Thursday, June 4, at the Church
of Christ. During the business ses-
sion the club discussed plans for
achievement day. After the club
had adjourned the girls sang the
songs that will he sung at the
Texas A. & M. short ccurse this
summer.
The club met again June 11 at
which time the girls selected a pat-
tern for a quilt which they are to
make and sell to raise money to
send a delegate to the meeting at
A & M." College.

Twelve members and two visit-
ors, Mrs. Bryant Cowan and Mrs.
C. B. Allison, Jr., attended the
meeting.

June 26 at the home of Mrs. Mil-
dred Thomason.

Mrs. McD. Reil, who had been
visiting in Dallas for the past five
weeks with her daughter, Miss
Rowena Reil, teacher in Dallas
public schools, returned to her
